KaliYuga Sadhana 3 – Brihannala, The Vidhi Of Arjuna’s Shakti Sadhana

Before starting the actual mantra sadhana of Shakti, before starting the rituals, it is very important to understand philosophy of Shakti, because she likes those you understand femininity, there is reason she chooses the form of a woman. To understand this philosophy we should look at the student of Krishna, who is Kali, Arjuna. Arjuna was cursed by an Apsara named Urvashi, she cursed him that he will have to live as a woman. This curse was a blessing in disguise. Let’s understand this deeper, the Pandavas where exiled for 13 years. The first 12 years he performed Shiva Sadhana, he was not only a Bhakta of Shiva but also exelled in rituals, he was a perfect Sadhak. At the end of the 12th year, his curse fruitified and he became a woman, the man of men became a woman. Most men would complain at this point but he exelled in Shakti sadhana not with mantras, but by fulling living the life like a woman would. He did his hair, he did his makeup, dressed up nice and taught dance, he lived in the women’s quarters and gained full oneness with what a woman is. Now does this mean as men we should all dress as women and live in a feminie way. Not necessarily, but we can start by understanding women. Why do take so long to look nice? Why do they care about cleanliness more than men? How are they capable to care for kids in ways men can’t? Why are all these things important? I won’t give you answer, you have to search the answers and understand. And as a women you must accept and respect femininity within. It is a design of KaliYuga to make women masculine and hate their femininity. This sadhana is important because in the war after this Arjuna was so powerful that even Bhishma, Drona and Karna where in awe of such power. Just the Twang! of this bow was enough to scare the army of Durodyana.
